Patsy and I have bounced a few ideas around with what we want to do with the site. We’ve decided to start documenting the pregnancy with a daily photo (minimum). Second, we’re going to be posting our entire recipe book and creating a small application which generates a weekly meal and shopping list. Third, we want to share our weight loss/workout regiment. Finally, we want to create a sense of a community and give everyone the opportunity to be a part of this magical time in our lives.
So far we have been doing a terrible job of documenting Patsy’s pregnancy. At first, we used the excuse of it not feeling real. It definitely feels real now. So it was either find a new excuse or do something about it. We’re going to do something about it.
We agreed to start with a morning photo which will allow us to see the slow growth of the baby bump over the next 6 months. It’s unlikely we’ll post these to the site every day, that seems like way too much work. Also, I would totally get bored with it and get behind on them. We’ll probably pick out one photo per week to post along with a short synopsis of the week.
The vast majority of the posts on the baby front are going to be coming from Patsy, so I’ll leave it to her to decide the content and regularity of posts to this section. I would advise though, if anyone has anything specific in mind. Reach out to Patsy, I’m sure she would love to entertain any ideas you have.
The recipe book
Patsy and I have been married for 7 years now. That has given us quite a bit of time to come up with a staple of recipes that we routinely use. Some of these come from our own imagination, but a lot come from our childhood.
We’ve bounced ideas around for a long time with ways of both documenting our recipes and being able to share those with others. The ultimate goal is to be able to share this with everyone. So we’re going to start with blog posts of our favorite recipes. From there, we’ll move onto more complex and fun projects like automated meal/shopping lists.
This will be a joint activity which we’ll usually be working on in tandem.
The ultimate weight loss plan
At one point, I was 6’3″ 335 pounds. My body fat percentage was estimated at 32%! I weighed in this morning with more than 100 pounds lost at 231.2 pounds. I’m now at 17.3% body fat and feel better than I have in years. I have about 15 pounds more to hit my target weight of 215 pounds and have continued to make steady progress towards this goal each month.
I want to share the methods I’ve used with everyone because it was incredibly easy to accomplish. That’s not to say that your walk will be easy, but surely hearing my story wont hurt. I have a three stage process for weight loss, which I believe can and will work for everyone.
I’d like to conclude by reinforcing a simple thought that we have carried for a number of years. The thought is this; we want to include EVERYONE in our life! Individually we are one drop, but together we are an ocean.
